The Mühlenkreisklinken Hospital Association has decided to use the new
hospital information system (HIS) from NEXUS. With that, NEXUS has again
received an order from a former Siemens Clinicom Hospital for conversion to
NEXUS / HIS, which is attractive thanks to its user-friendly functions.
The Mühlenkreisklinken Hospitals include Minden Clinical Center and the
Lübbecke, Bad Oeynhausen and Rahden hospitals; the body responsible for
them is the Minden-Lübbecke District. In the Mühlenkreisklinken Hospitals,
4,200 employees care for the health of approx. 200,000 inpatients and
outpatients annually. As a result, the Mühlenkreisklinken Hospitals are one
of the largest public healthcare service suppliers. In addition, the
hospital association trains more than 400 young people annually and
consequently is the largest employer and company providing job training in
the Minden-Lübbecke District. The hospital association has a total of
approx. 2,000 beds and covers all care levels from basic to general care
and all the way to state-of-the-art treatment.
The Mühlenkreisklinken Hospital Association, Minden, decided to replace
Siemens Clinicom software with NEXUS software within the context of an
EU-wide call for bids. The goal of the call for bids was to obtain support
for hospital and administrative processes using a modern and user-friendly
system.
The new order strengthens the current trend to use NEXUS / HIS in large
German hospitals as an overall system. Modern software focused on user
support is being made available to the approx. 2,200 IT users.
Consequently, this concerns one of the largest installations made available
centrally in German healthcare.
In addition to ease of use of the system, a decisive factor in the
selection of NEXUS was the fact that the NEXUS solution also supports the
IT strategy of the hospital association optimally in the long term.
