NET INTEREST AND OTHER Net interest and other includes interest expense, interest income, amortization of debt discount and debt issuance costs, the non-service cost components of net periodic benefit cost, and foreign exchange gains and losses from the remeasurement of certain financial instruments. For the three and six months ended June 30, 2018, a foreign exchange gain of $0.4 million and a foreign exchange loss of $2.6 million, respectively, from the remeasurement of financial instruments were reported as a component of net interest and other. Foreign exchange gains and losses were not material for the three and six months ended June 30, 2017.
