This Current Report on Form 6-K is being filed to be incorporated by reference into Registration Statement No. 333-100251 on Form F-3, effective December 27, 2002, relating to $1,210,050,000 0.25% Convertible Notes Due 2007.

Other Matters to be Disclosed

KT Corporation (the “Company” and NYSE symbol: KTC) has entered into a contract as a member of a consortium to engage Tyco to build a trans-pacific express cable line. Details are as follows:

 

    Contract date: December 18, 2006

 

    Tyco has entered into an agreement with an international consortium (the Company, Verizon Business, China Telecom, China Netcom, China Unicom and Chunawha Telecom) to supply underwater cables. Construction of high capacity underwater cable is necessary to support more reliable international telecom traffic between East Asia and North America.

 

    Installation of 18,000 kilometers of underwater cables that directly connect Korea, China, Taiwan and the United States of America is expected to be completed and start service in 2009.
