Shareholder Return Policy Relating to Net Earnings in Fiscal Year 2006

KT Corporation announced during the 2007 first quarter preliminary earnings release conference call that it would buy back and cancel shares if such buy back and cancellation of shares would not violate the 49.0% foreign ownership limitation of issued shares with voting rights. In the event such buy back and cancellation of shares violates the 49.0% ownership limitation, KT Corporation plans to pay out interim dividends.
