Completion of Share Repurchase for Share Retirement

We hereby inform you that KT Corporation (NYSE symbol: KTC) has completed its share repurchase for retirement of shares:

2. Number of shares repurchased: 1,666,700 common shares.

3. Total value of shares repurchased: KRW 73,701 million

4. Average purchase price of shares repurchased: KRW 44,220 per share

5. Period of share repurchase: June 26, 2008 ~ July 18, 2008

6. Date of share retirement: July 22, 2008

7. Number of total issued shares after share retirement: 273,535,700 shares
