Quartal des neuen Jahrtausends war bei NorCom Information Technology AG von Erfolg geprägt. Der kräftige Anstieg der Umsätze im 1. Quartal 2000 um annähernd 90% gegenüber dem Vorjahreszeitraum bestätigt die Produkt- und Unternehmensstrategie von NorCom. Mit einem Umsatzvolumen in Höhe von rund 4,6 Mio. EUR hat das Unternehmen die Planzahlen bestätigt. Hierbei entfallen auf den Geschäftebereich IT-Security / Enterprise Networks 65% des Umsatzes. Der Bereich E-Business Solutions hat sich mit einem Anteil von 35% des Umsatzes mehr als verdreifacht. Deutlicher Ergebnisswing NorCom erzielte im 1. Quartal 2000 einen Gewinn von 115.077 EUR. Das Ergebnis pro Aktie drehte gegenüber 1999 in den positiven Bereich und beläuft sich auf 0,01 EUR. Hohe Investitionen standen vor allem im Zusammenhang mit dem Aufbau des Vertriebs und den technologischen Erweiterungen von NorCom Global Security (NGS) für die Integration in BEA und Novell Produkte. Darüber hinaus konnte NorCom in den ersten drei Monaten des laufenden Jahres einige strategisch bedeutende Projekte im Security- und E-Business-Bereich akquirieren, die NorCom u.a. den Zugang zur Medienindustrie eröffnet haben. The sharp rise in 1st quarter revenues of almost 90% over the year-ago quarter is proof that NorCom is on the right track with its product and corporate strategy. Revenues of EUR 4.6 million were in line with forecasts. IT-Security/Enterprise Networks contributed to total revenues by 65%. With a share of 35%, revenues generated by the still young E-Business Solution division more than tripled over the same quarter one year earlier. Substantial swing in earnings NorCom posted a profit of EUR 115,077 and earnings per share of EUR 0.01 in the 1st quarter of 2000. Investments primarily focused on building up sales and marketing activities as well as technological extensions to NorCom Global Security (NGS) for the integration with BEA and Novell products. In addition during the first three months of the year, a number of strategically important projects in the Security and E-Business divisions were gained giving NorCom access to the media industry amongst other things.
