NorCom achieving next sales success for NCPower with Yugra TV
NorCom AG widening its presence in the Russian market
Munich, January 22, 2007 – Based in Hanty-Mansiysk in Central Russia
(approx. 2,700 km East of Moscow), Russian TV station Yugra TV has opted
for NorCom’s Apple-based multimedia production system NCPower.
A recently established broadcaster, which also operates several radio
stations, Yugra TV is based in Hanty-Mansisysk in the National District,
where it independently produces news for Central Russia. It provides a full
range of broadcasts for an audience of 2.0 – 2.5 million viewers.
With its open software architecture, NCPower is a superior integration
platform allowing Yugra TV to produce news and magazine shows swiftly and
flexibly on an end-to-end platform. This was one of the main reasons for
the broadcaster’s decisions to go with NCPower. Yugra TV will be going live
with NCPower in the near future.
NCPower is an editing system capable of processing all types of multimedia
content and offering extensive archiving functionality as a media asset
management system. As well as this, NCPower features an integrated research
system for retrieving all the data required in a news room.
'The marketing focus on Russia is a key strategic pillar of our growth
structure. By specifically investing in markets such as Russia which offer
great potential in tandem with low cyclical exposure, we are creating the
basis for our long-term success,' explains Viggo Nordbakk, CEO of NorCom
Information Technology AG. 'The fact that Yugra is able to go on air so
quickly testifies to the efficiency with which our standard NCPower product
is already operating as well as the ease with which it can be deployed by
customers. In this way, we have taken a large step forward towards
achieving our goal of offering NCPower as an 'on-of-the-box' solution,'
adds Nordbakk.
