Axel Springer Digital TV using NorCom’s NCPower for Internet television

NCPower multimedia production system conquering the innovative Internet TV
market

M.P.E.C. GmbH ensuring smooth rollout and implementation as the business
partner

Munich, April 23, 2007 – The NCPower multimedia editing, scheduling and
production system is increasingly finding acceptance as an IPTV solution in
the innovative Internet TV market. Together with its partner M.P.E.C. GmbH,
Hamburg, who will be monitoring the overall project as the general
contractor right up to the final start-up, NorCom has now also been able to
sign up Axel Springer Digital TV GmbH as a customer for the establishment
of its IPTV broadcaster.

NorCom’s Apple-based TV and media production solution NCPower will support
a total of 24 workplaces at Axel Springer Digital TV GmbH’s new IPTV
broadcaster. NCPower integrates all stages of the production process
including ingesting, searches, scheduling and playout as well as providing
video, audio, graphic and text editing functionality and incorporating all
workflow components.

With its open software architecture, NCPower is a superior integration
platform allowing Axel Springer Digital TV to produce shows swiftly and
flexibly on an end-to-end platform. At the same time, the status of all
contributions from the initial idea to scripts as well as broadcast
scheduling and archiving can be monitored at all times. All tasks can be
assigned electronically to internal and external, stationary and mobile
staff and monitored efficiently.

'The system flexibility, the efficiency of the search functions and the
transparency in the production processes were the main criteria in Axel
Springer Digital TV’s decision to go for NCPower,' says Markus Wallies,
managing director of M.P.E.C. GmbH. 'We are pleased to be able to assist
Axel Springer Digital TV with its IPTV project and will be handling all
phases of the project right up to the final start-up,' he adds.

NorCom AG, which has already signed up numerous TV broadcasters in Germany
and abroad for NCPower, is thus extending its presence in the IPTV market
via Axel Springer Digital TV. IPTV gives broadcasters and consumers an
entirely new dimension in television. According to market studies, the
European IPTV market is expected to triple in size over the next two years.

'The market outlook indicates that IPTV is still in its infancy. We have
gained in Axel Springer Digital TV a customer which has already entered
this segment and built up a position offering great potential for the
future. I am convinced that further companies will recognize the
opportunities of IPTV, meaning that considerable market potential is
awaiting us,' says Viggo Nordbakk, CEO and founder of NorCom Information
Technology AG.
