Bundesagentur für Arbeit planning to award NorCom contract for IT support
services

Munich, June 5, 2007 – The German labor agency Bundesagentur für Arbeit
(BA) in Nuremberg has announced its intention in accordance with Section 13
of the Rules for Awarding Public Sector Contracts that it will be awarding
NorCom Information Technology AG the contract for the provision of IT
support services for the operation of business intelligence (BI) processes.
The contract covers IT support services for the quality-assured operation
of the three BI processes - statistics, controlling and the data basis for
operative evaluation. These BI processes are to undergo permanent further
development and will be running on Windows and Solaris platforms.
NorCom Information Technology AG’s task will be to support the management
and execution of the business tasks as a high-ranking responsible platform
team. Yet, the terms of reference also provide for NorCom to furnish advice
and support in the use of the technologies deployed and the BI operation
infrastructures as well as to develop and plan operation architectures.
The final award of the Bundesagentur für Arbeit contract, which entails a
volume of 50 person/years over a term of 3 years, is scheduled for June 15,
2007 provided that none of the other participants in the tender process
request a review or submit an official complaint. Work on the project will
commence immediately after the completion of the awarding process.
