NorCom awarded major IT support service contract by Bundesagentur für
Arbeit
- Contract worth around EUR 10 million

Munich, June 26, 2007 – After announcing its intention in accordance with
Section 13 of the Rules for Awarding Public Sector Contracts two weeks ago,
the German labor agency Bundesagentur für Arbeit (BA) in Nuremberg has now
awarded NorCom Information Technology AG the final contract for the
provision of IT support services for the operation of business
intelligence(BI) processes.
NorCom AG, which had previously received a contract from the agency for IT
operation support activities, again prevailed which this tender procedure.
With a volume of around EUR 10 million spread over a period of three years,
the project is about to commence.

and organizational terms,' says Dr. Tobias Abthoff, a member of NorCom
Information Technoloy AG’s management board.
The contract covers IT support services for the quality-assured operation
of the three BI processes - statistics, controlling and the data basis for
operative evaluation.
NorCom’s task will be to provide support in the management and execution of
the business tasks as a high-ranking responsible platform team. Yet, the
terms of reference also provide for NorCom to furnish advice and support in
the use of the technologies deployed and the BI operation infrastructures
as well as to develop and plan operation architectures.
The project will be overseen by NorCom’s Nuremberg office, which was
established last year primarily for the purpose of ensuring optimum local
service for Bundesagentur für Arbeit.
