The trace amounts of 3TGs found in the Metallic Components supplied by the eleven (11) other Suppliers are presumed to be mere contaminants.</font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;"><br></font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;">As a result, Gildan&#8217;s products subject to the Conflict Minerals Rule analysis and containing the purposefully added tin and/or gold are: (a) knit tops with zippers and draw cords made with metal molded tips, (b) caps that have metal top buttons, buckles, grommets, eyelets and washers (c) towels that have hooks and grommets, (d) bra straps with metal coated sliders and adjusters, (e) infant one </font></div><div><br></div><div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:center;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;">2</font></div></div><hr style="page-break-after:always"><div><div style="line-height:120%;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;"><br></font></div></div><div><br></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;">pieces, (f) jean tops and bottoms that have snaps, eyelets, washers and zippers, (g) corduroy, twill or nylon jackets, skirts, pants and shorts with zippers, (h) bags with interior key fob and zippers, (i) bralettes with zippers, and (j) canine apparel with zippers (the &#8220;</font><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;font-weight:bold;">Products</font><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;">&#8221;). Gildan manufactures the knit tops in its own vertically-integrated facilities but sources all other Products from third party suppliers. Gildan does not require from its suppliers that any Metallic Component used in its products contains 3TGs.</font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;"><br></font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;">The RCOI was conducted by sending questionnaires to all twenty (20) Suppliers procuring the Metallic Components for the Products or contracted to manufacture some of the Products containing the Metallic Components. These Suppliers account for less than 1% of Gildan&#8217;s total suppliers of materials used in products that the Company manufactured or that the Company contracted to manufacture in 2018. Gildan requested that each Supplier complete the Conflict Free Sourcing&#8217;s Initiative&#8217;s (CFSI) Conflict Minerals Reporting Template, which was created by the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition and the Global e-Sustainability Initiative as a common means for the collection of sourcing information related to conflict minerals. This reporting template is a common data collection tool used across industries by companies with and without direct smelter relationships, and its questions are designed to generate necessary representations required to make determinations about the origin of the 3TGs.</font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;"><br></font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;">All twenty (20) Suppliers, even those whose products did not contain any purposefully added 3TGs, responded to the Company&#8217;s inquiry by completing the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template and provided the Company with written assurances that none of the Products sold to Gildan during the 2018 Reporting Period contain 3TGs that have originated from the Covered Countries. Nine (9) of the Suppliers who purposefully add 3TGs to the Metallic Components represented to conduct their own RCOI with their respective direct suppliers using the Conflict Free Sourcing&#8217;s Initiative&#8217;s (CFSI) Conflict Minerals Reporting Template or a substantially similar questionnaire. In addition, five (5) of the Suppliers who purposefully add 3TGs to the Metallic Components represented to have in place a conflict minerals sourcing policy. Finally, all nine (9) Suppliers who purposefully add 3TGs to the Metallic Components identified the smelters believed to be involved in the smelting of such 3TGs. Such smelters are either listed as Conflict-Free Tin Smelters under the Conflict-Free Smelter Program list provided by the Conflict-Free Smelter Initiative, or located outside the Covered Countries.</font></div><div style="line-height:120%;text-align:justify;font-size:10pt;"><font style="font-family:inherit;font-size:10pt;"><br></font></div><div representations generated in the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template and in the written certification provided to the Company were false or inaccurate, and based on such representations determined in good faith that it had no reason to believe that the 3TG contained in the Metallic Components used in the Products may have originated from the Covered Countries.</font></div><div
