Commitments Disclosure [Text Block]	OTHER COMMITMENTS Eastman has commitments consisting of debt securities, credit facilities, term loans, interest payable, purchase obligations, operating leases, and other liabilities. In first quarter 2024, purchase obligations in the 2029 and beyond period decreased by approximately $1.5 billion as a result of exiting an agreement with a supplier after contract negotiations. Eastman had remaining debt and other commitments at March 31, 2024 totaling approximately $10.5 billion over a period of approximately 30 years.  Other than the purchase obligations discussed above, there have been no material changes to the Company's commitments from those disclosed in Note 12, "Leases and Other Commitments", to the consolidated financial statements in Part II, Item 8 of the Company's 2023 Annual Report on Form 10-K.
