<DIV align="left" style="font-size: 10pt; margin-top: 6pt">CHICAGO, August&nbsp;5, 2010 &#151; First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE: FR), a leading provider
of industrial real estate supply chain solutions, today announced that it has finalized its
agreement with its partner regarding the conclusion of its joint venture partnerships for its 2005
Development and Repositioning JV, 2005 Core JV, 2006 Land and Development JV, and 2007 Canada JV.

<DIV align="left" style="font-size: 10pt; margin-top: 6pt">Pursuant to the agreement, First Industrial has transferred its interests in these ventures to the
partner for a lump sum cash payment of approximately $5&nbsp;million, as anticipated per the Company&#146;s
second quarter 2010 results press release dated August&nbsp;2, 2010. First Industrial will no longer
serve as asset manager for these ventures.

<DIV align="left" style="font-size: 10pt; margin-top: 6pt">First Industrial may also receive future financial consideration related to certain asset sales,
lease agreements, and tenant improvement projects that were still in process at the time of the
conclusion of the ventures.
