Investments in marketable securities at December 31, 2014 and June 30, 2015 were $172.6 million and $261.5 million, respectively. There were no significant realized gains or losses on investments classified as available-for-sale or trading for the three and six months ended June 30, 2014. In the six months ended June 30, 2015, there were $7.9 million of realized gains on investments classified as available-for-sale, all of which occurred in the three months ended June 30, 2015. These gains were recorded in Investment and other income. There were no significant realized gains or losses on investments classified as trading in the three and six months ended June 30, 2015.
