OPERATIONS RESUME AT BUENAVENTURA’S

UCHUCCHACUA MINE

 

Lima, Peru, March 17, 2014 - Compañia de Minas Buenaventura S.A.A. (“the Company” or “Buenaventura”) (NYSE: BVN; Lima Stock Exchange: BUE.LM) announced today that beginning Sunday, March 16 at 07.00 am, the Uchucchacua’s contractors’ unions voluntarily concluded the stoppage that began March 11, 2014. Operations were resumed immediately.

 

It is important to mention that this stoppage was declared illegal by the Peruvian Ministry of Labor.

The Company is engaged in the mining, processing, development and exploration of gold and silver and other metals via wholly owned mines, as well as through its participation in joint exploration projects.
