Segment Information
SEGMENT INFORMATION

USEC has two reportable segments: the LEU segment with two components, SWU and uranium, and the contract services segment. The LEU segment is USEC’s primary business focus and includes sales of the SWU component of LEU, sales of both the SWU and uranium components of LEU, and sales of uranium. The contract services segment consists of contract work USEC performs at Portsmouth, Paducah and Oak Ridge.  The contract services segment includes revenue and cost of sales for American Centrifuge work USEC performs under the ACTDO Agreement as a subcontractor to ORNL. Gross profit is USEC’s measure for segment reporting. There were no intersegment sales in the periods presented.
