Interest on the 8.25% notes (the “8.25% Notes”) maturing in February 2027 is payable semi-annually in arrears as of February 28 and August 31 based on a 360-day year consisting of twelve 30-day months. As shown in the table above, all future interest payment obligations on the 8.25% Notes are included in the carrying value of the 8.25% Notes. As a result, interest payments are reported as a reduction in the carrying value of the notes and not as interest expense. As of June 30, 2021, and December 31, 2020, $6.1 million of interest was recorded as current and classified as Current Debt in the unaudited condensed consolidated balance sheet.
