alstria leases 3,700 sqm in Hamburg

– Advertising agency leases asset in Schaartor 1 on a long-term basis

– Building was acquired in 2010 and is undergoing a full refurbishment

Hamburg, September 30, 2013 – alstria office REIT-AG (symbol: AOX, ISIN: DE000A0LD2U1), the leading German office REIT, announces the signing of a lease for one of its development assets located in the inner city of Hamburg.

With the lease-up of the building located at Schaartor 1 in Hamburg, alstria records another success in its development portfolio. The new tenant, a leading advertising agency, signed a long-term lease for 85% of the office space. The lease will start on August 1, 2014 and generate EUR 0.7 m of rental income per annum.

In 2010 alstria acquired the 4,800 sqm asset, with an occupancy rate of around 76% and an annual rental income of EUR 0.34 m. The building was fully vacated by alstria at the end of 2012 paving the way for the modernisation process, which substantially improves the quality and attractiveness of the asset. The refurbishment process will be concluded in the first half of 2014.
