alstria leases 8,900 sqm of office space in Essen

Hamburg, March 31 ^st , 2014 – alstria office REIT-AG (symbol: AOX, ISIN: DE000A0LD2U1), the leading German office REIT, announces the leasing of 8,900 sqm of office space at the Bamler Service Park in Essen.

The new lease with Germany’s leading gas transmission company is due to start at the end of 2015, when the current tenant will be moving out of the property. In addition to the space rented currently by MFI AG, the new tenant will be using around 1,100 sqm of additional office space.

The transaction was brokered by CUBION Immobilien AG.

“This new lease allows alstria to secure one of the largest lease contracts in the Essen region in the last 12 month”, said Olivier Elamine, CEO of the Company. “It confirms the strong dynamics in the German leasing market and proves alstria’s ability to benefit from this positive environment.”
