alstria leases 1,200 sqm in Frankfurt

Hamburg, July 9, 2014 – alstria office REIT-AG (symbol: AOX, ISIN: DE000A0LD2U1), the leading German office REIT, announces the signature of new lease for its asset in Insterburger Strasse 16, Frankfurt.

With the lease-up of the building Insterburger Strasse 16 in Frankfurt, alstria continues to take advantage from the current demand for efficient office space. The new tenant, a leading real estate service company, signed a long-term lease for 1,200 sqm of office space. The lease was brokered by ENGEL & VÖLKERS COMMERCIAL, Frankfurt and will start on November 1, 2014.

alstria acquired the 13,400 sqm asset in 2011 and was able to significantly improve the leasing profile of the building over the past three years. Following alstria’s active asset management approach the occupancy rate increased from 74% to 84% and the average lease-term more than doubled from 2.6 years to 5.4 years.
