3. Inventory

Inventory, net of reserves, consisted of the following amounts (in thousands):

As of March 31, 2013 and December 31, 2012, we had inventory reserves of $12.6 million and $11.7 million, respectively.

For LIFO inventory, may disclose the amount and basis for determining the excess of replacement or current cost over stated LIFO value and the effects of a LIFO quantities liquidation that impacts net income.
