NORMA Group honors Hutchinson as the best supplier in the EMEA region

Maintal, Germany, September 28, 2017 – NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, has awarded the Global Supplier Recognition Award for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) to the Precision Sealing Systems Division of Hutchinson GmbH (“Hutchinson”). The business unit of the French manufacturer of elastomer products was convincing in 2016 with its outstanding achievements in the areas of quality, logistics and service.

At the award ceremony held on September 28, 2017, in Maintal, Wolfgang Geiger, NORMA Group’s Vice President of Global Purchasing, said: “A long-term partnership connects us with Hutchinson as a supplier that distinguishes itself with consistently high delivery service, efficient production processes and deep technical understanding.” Volker Kulms, Head of Precision Sealing Systems at Hutchinson, said: “I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the whole Hutchinson team. The award spurs us to become even better. I am sure that our partnership will continue to remain this close and full of trust.”

Hutchinson has been supplying NORMA Group with sealing elements such as O-rings and X-rings for over 20 years. NORMA Group uses the sealing elements for its Quick Connectors, for example, the product types PS3 , V2 and S . The rings help to ensure that connectors are mounted securely and leak-free at the connection point. With the award, NORMA Group recognizes Hutchinson’s high quality standards, outstanding delivery reliability and excellent service.

NORMA Group recognizes the achievements of its global suppliers with the Global Supplier Recognition Award based on a comprehensive list of criteria. NORMA Group has awarded this recognition to outstanding suppliers worldwide since 2014. Previous recipients in the EMEA region were EMS Chemie Holding AG , Neida Products Engineering Ltd. and NB Norder Bandstahl GmbH . The award is also given annually in the Americas region.
