Treasury Stock	Note 11.   Treasury Stock During the first six months of 2011, we issued 349,071 treasury shares which had an average cost of $6.63 per share for restricted stock units that vested during the period.  In accordance with the Silgan Holdings Inc. 2004 Stock Incentive Plan, we repurchased 132,310 shares of our common stock at an average cost of $36.42 to satisfy minimum employee withholding tax requirements resulting from certain restricted stock units becoming vested.  We account for the treasury shares using the first-in, first-out (FIFO) cost method.  As of June 30, 2011, 17,209,721 shares were held in treasury.
