BANCO MACRO S.A. INFORMS THE MARKET OF THE FILING OF ITS ANNUAL REPORT ON FORM 20-F FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2007.

City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, July 23, 2008. The management of Banco Macro S.A. (NYSE: BMA; Buenos Aires: BMA) (“Banco Macro” or “BMA”) announced that it filed its annual report on Form 20-F on June 30, 2008 for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2007 (the “2007 Annual Report”) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”). The 2007 Annual Report can be accessed by visiting either the SEC’s website at www.sec.gov or Banco Macro’s website at www.macro.com.ar. In addition, shareholders may receive a hard copy of the Banco Macro’s complete audited financial statements free of charge by requesting a copy within a reasonable period of time from Banco Macro's Investor Relations website.
