On November 14, 2017, we announced that our board of directors approved a dividend policy to pay quarterly cash dividends to holders of our common stock. During each of the first and second quarters of 2019, we declared and paid a dividend of $0.09 per share of our common stock. During each of the first and second quarters of 2018, we declared and paid a dividend of $0.07 per share of our common stock. As such, we paid $7.6 million and $5.5 million of dividends to shareholders during the six months ended June 30, 2019 and 2018, respectively. On August 1, 2019, our board of directors declared a dividend of $0.09 per share of common stock, payable on September 16, 2019, to stockholders of record on September 3, 2019. For a description of the restrictions in our asset-based credit facility, Term Loan, and the indenture governing our senior notes on our ability to pay dividends, see Note 7, Debt.
