In accordance with Section 307 of the Trust Indenture Act of 1939, as amended, and the rules promulgated thereunder (the “Trust Indenture Act”), Century Aluminum Company (the “Applicant”) hereby requests that the effectiveness of the Application for Qualification of Indenture on Form T-3 (File No. 022-28921) (the “Application”) be accelerated so that it becomes effective at 5:00 p.m. (New York City time) on December 9, 2009 or as soon thereafter as is practicable.
