SUBSEQUENT EVENTS	SUBSEQUENT EVENTS We have evaluated events from the date of the consolidated financial statements on September 30, 2023 through the issuance of these consolidated financial statements included in this Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q. On October 19, 2023, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System granted its approval of the merger. In addition, on October 5, 2023, the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation granted its approval of the bank merger. No further regulatory approvals are required to complete the proposed transaction. Banc of California and PacWest will each hold a special meeting of its respective stockholders in connection with the transaction on November 22, 2023. The consummation of the proposed transaction is expected to close on or about November 30, 2023, subject to the satisfaction of the remaining closing conditions set forth in the merger agreement, including receipt of the requisite stockholder approvals, and the concurrent closing of a $400 million equity capital raise. Except as noted, there have been no other subsequent events that occurred during such period that would require disclosure in this report or would be required to be recognized in the consolidated financial statements as of September 30, 2023.
