Telematics on-board computer of OHB successfully established with truck OEMs

The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Telematics on-board computer of OHB Teledata successfully established with truck OEMs – SCANIA order of approx. 1,100 telematics on-board computers of OHB Teledata Bremen, October 26, 2004. The Group OHB Technology AG (ISIN: DE0005936124) continues its successful course in its telematics division in the second half also. After reaching profitabilty again in the first half 2004 the telematics division OHB Teledata is more and more established as tier 1 supplier for the truck OEMs. The swedish truck producer SCANIA gave order of approx. 1,100 telematics on- board computers of OHB Teledata. These on-board moduls are going to equip SCANIA trucks due to a special order of a customer who asked for this specific advanced telematics technology. These on-board computers are split half and half into data logger for the operational data of the truck and for the use of the crane of the truck. They collects and stores all operational data from the CAN-bus of the truck like an electronic driver`s log e.g. date, time, running time, vehicle speed, using time of the crane, weight classification of the crane loadings on the one hand and technical data as revolutions per minute, engine torque and vehicle speed in relation to revolutions per minute, fuel consumption, number of breakings etc. on the other hand. The user of these trucks receives a clear profile of every single truck and this allows him to achieve a well-balanced utilization and therefore an optimization in operating, servicing and aging of the complete fleet.
