  - New OHB subsidiary: KT Automotive GmbH spin-off with 23 employees and
sales of around EUR 7 million

  - Realignment of global market leader for automotive crash test data
    acquisition systems

Munich/Bremen, August 25, 2008. Kayser-Threde GmbH has spun off its
successful Automotive division to become an independent company, KT
Automotive GmbH. This step gives the Automotive activity more visibility,
autonomy, and flexibility within the OHB Group (Prime Standard, ISIN:
DE0005936124). KT Automotive GmbH develops, manufactures and sells data
acquisition systems for crash tests. With a market share of roughly 70 %,
the company is the leading supplier of corresponding hardware, software,
and services worldwide.

'The spin-off is of great importance to us since the new company has been
tailored to our customers’ needs and demands. We are now in a position to
place more emphasis on trend-setting technologies such as in-dummy
measurement and the related dummy-service', says Gerhard Haas, long-term
Director of the Automotive Division and now Managing Director of KT
Automotive GmbH.

Safety-relevant crash tests are carried out worldwide - and more than 80
customers use systems and solutions provided by Kayser-Threde. Customers
can be found wherever cars and safety-relevant accessories such as car
seats, seatbelts, and airbags are developed. While crash test simulation
helps shorten product development cycles drastically, it cannot replace
actual crash tests. Rising requirements for car safety and increased
automotive diversity lead to a continuous demand for new crash test data
acquisition systems.
