5)     Inventories

Inventories from continuing operations are comprised of the following (in thousands):

Distribution costs associated with the sale of inventory, which are recorded as a component of selling, general and administrative expenses in the accompanying unaudited condensed consolidated statements of operations were $2.5 million and $2.9 million for the three months ended  December 31, 2024 and 2023, respectively.  Distribution costs were $4.9 million and $6.1 million for the six months ended  December 31, 2024 and 2023, respectively.
