5)     Inventories

Inventories from continuing operations are comprised of the following (in thousands):

Distribution costs associated with the sale of inventory, which are recorded as a component of selling, general and administrative expenses in the accompanying unaudited condensed consolidated statements of operations were $2.4 million and $2.6 million for the three months ended  March 31, 2025 and 2024, respectively.  Distribution costs were $7.3 million and $8.6 million for the nine months ended  March 31, 2025 and 2024, respectively.
