Pension assets represent the funded status of certain of the Company’s long-term employee benefit plans. During the year ended December 31, 2019, pension assets decreased primarily due to the Company’s settlement of a significant portion of the Netherlands pension plan, specific to the vested pension benefits of the inactive participants.
