The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– 9-months sales figures rise by 45% to EUR 24.4 million Saarbrücken, November 20, 2001 – During the first nine months of the fiscal year 2001, Orbis AG (German SIN 522877; Neuer Markt) has achieved sales of EUR 24.4 million. This represents an increase of 45.2% compared to the same period the previous year. These increases are primarily due to the positive developments in the Consulting Unit – which registered a plus of 70.4% – whilst the Solutions Unit posted a decrease in sales of 7.9%. As a result of recent expansions, in addition to the firm’s new positioning as a business consultancy firm, announced in September 2001, the EBIT for the first nine months stands at minus EUR 6.4 million – and therefore at EUR 3.0 million less than the same period the previous year. During the third quarter 2001, sales rose by 24.4% to EUR 7.7 million, while results for the quarter (EBIT) stood at minus EUR 2.8 million – compared with minus EUR 1.5 million during the same period the previous year. Prognoses for annual sales of EUR 31 million with a negative EBIT have been confirmed. By dint of its agreements to extensive cooperation with SAP made in September 2001, Orbis has begun to focus on the lucrative consulting sector. The costly development of new software, which led to losses, has been discontinued. Owing to payments in line with the cooperation framework with SAP, the firm’s liquidity will already be significantly increased during the fourth quarter of 2001.
