At December 31, 2016, the scheduled maturities of time deposits were as follows:

Deposits received from executive officers and directors and their associates totaled approximately $3,030,000 and $1,982,000 at December 31, 2016 and 2015, respectively. These deposit accounts have substantially the same terms, including interest rates, as those prevailing at the time for comparable transactions with other non-related depositors.

 

As of December 31, 2016 and 2015, the Company held $276.4 million and $226.0 million, respectively, in time deposits of $250,000 or more (which is the current FDIC insurance limit for insured deposits as of December 31, 2016). Included in these deposits were brokered deposits of $133.4 million and $71.8 million at December 31, 2016 and 2015, respectively.
