Note 11. Leases

 

Certain bank premises are leased under operating lease agreements. Generally, operating leases contain renewal options on substantially the same basis as current rental terms. Rent expense charged to operations under all operating lease agreements was $1.5 million in 2016, $1.2 million in 2015, and $1.2 million in 2014.

 

Future obligations for minimum rentals under noncancelable operating leases at December 31, 2016 are as follows:
