Segment and Geographical Information
Operating segments are defined as components of an enterprise for which separate financial information is available and evaluated regularly by the chief operating decision maker, or decision-making group, in deciding how to allocate resources and in assessing performance. The Company has one operating and one reportable business segment.
During the three months ended March 31, 2015 and 2014, the Company operated in two geographic regions, the U.S. and International, which consists of locations outside of the U.S. In the International geographic region, sales in Japan for the three months ended March 31, 2015 totaled $7.6 million, which represented greater than 10 percent of the Company’s consolidated revenues. In the International geographic region, sales in Japan for the three months ended March 31, 2014 totaled $7.7 million, which represented greater than 10 percent of the Company’s consolidated revenues.
