Description of Business	Note 1 – Description of Business The Company, founded in 1807, was incorporated in the state of New York on January 15, 1904. Throughout this report, when we refer to “Wiley,” the “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us,” we are referring to John Wiley & Sons, Inc. and all of our subsidiaries, except where the context indicates otherwise. Wiley is a global leader in research and education, unlocking human potential by enabling discovery, powering education, and shaping workforces. Through the Research Publishing & Platforms segment, we provide peer-reviewed scientific, technical, and medical (STM) publishing, content platforms, and related services to academic, corporate, and government customers, academic societies, and individual researchers. The Academic & Professional Learning segment provides Education Publishing and Professional Learning content and courseware, training and learning services, to students, professionals, and corporations. The Education Services segment provides online program management (OPM) services for academic institutions and talent placement services for professionals and businesses. We have operations primarily located in the United States (US), United Kingdom (UK), Sri Lanka, Germany, India, Russia, Jordan, and Canada.
