Nature Of Operations	1. Nature of Operations Strayer Education, Inc. (the "Company"), a Maryland corporation, conducts its operations through its wholly owned subsidiary, Strayer University (the "University"). The University is an accredited institution of higher education that provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in various fields of study through 92 campuses in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Washington, D.C., and online. With the Company's focus on the student, regardless of whether he or she chooses to take classes at a physical campus or online, it has only one reporting segment.
