Employee benefit plans	15. Employee benefit plans The Company administers a 401(k) Savings Retirement Plan (the “MannKind Retirement Plan”) for its employees. For the years ended December 31, 2014, 2013 and 2012, the Company contributed $623,000, $533,000 and $571,000 respectively, to the MannKind Retirement Plan.
