PANDATEL has managed to outperform the budget targets for business 2000, despite having revised them upwards as late as August. Sales have risen 55.3 percent from EUR 23.5 million to EUR 36.5 million, and thus three percentage points faster than expected. Earnings from operations (EBIT) have been boosted 38.2 percent from EUR 7.6 million to EUR 10.5 million. This is a full 14 percentage points higher than targeted. With its impressive EBIT margin of almost 29 percent, PANDATEL has once again demonstrated that it is pursuing the right strategy for profitable growth. With the launch of the FOMUX fiber-optic platform first presented in 2000 PANDATEL has succeeded in expanding geographically worldwide and in profitably moving into new business fields, such as external Storage Area Networks. All in all, 86 percent of total sales are now posted as exports to 93 different countries. Further information on business 2000 will be released at the press conference presenting the PANDATEL AG annual financial statements in Frankfurt at 10 a.m. on March 23, 2001.
