Henrik Förderer, Management Board spokesman of Neuer Markt-listed PANDATEL AG (ISIN DE0006916307), which specializes in fiber-optic- and copper-based network access and transmission technology, will step down of his own accord and by mutual consent as of October 31, 2002. PANDATEL AG’s Supervisory Board appointed Heinrich-J. Kraus as the company’s new CEO as of November 1, 2002. Mr. Kraus comes to PANDATEL having served as Chief Commercial Officer of Augusta Technologie AG. Henrik Förderer became Management Board spokesman of Pandatel AG in 1999. During his period of office, he oversaw the company’s IPO as well as the expansion of its international sales structures. As a result, he effectively laid the foundations for the company’s strong development in the face of the present downturn on the telecommunications market. In connection with Heinrich-J. Kraus’s appointment as PANDATEL AG’s new CEO, the Hamburg-based company plans to intensify its cooperation with ND SatCom AG, a provider of mobile and stationary satellite communications solutions and, like PANDATEL, a subsidiary of Augusta Technologie AG, in the future. In particular, this will result in synergies with respect to support for shared customers and the joint use of international sales structures. Mr. Kraus has worked closely with ND SatCom since it became part of the Augusta Group in December 2000, most recently as Supervisory Board Chairman. He has played a key role in generating ND SatCom’s encouraging sales and earnings growth over the past two years. Heinrich-J. Kraus will be responsible for the areas Sales and Marketing, since he possesses not only profound sales experience, but also worldwide contacts to important customer groups. Thus, PANDATEL will be enabled to penetrate new market segments to generate growth even in today’s difficult market environment.
