1 Upon the January 1, 2020 adoption of CECL as described in Note 1 to these consolidated financial statements, the Company increased its allowance for loan losses by $9.5 million. The increase was recorded as a cumulative-effect non-cash adjustment of $6.7 million, net of tax, to the opening balance of the Company's 2020 retained earnings.
