Schedule of Product Warranty Liability

General warranty reserves are based on historical claims experience and other currently available information. These reserves are adjusted once an issue is identified and the actual cost of correction becomes known or can be estimated. The company provides an assurance-type warranty that ensures that products will function as intended. As such, the company's estimated warranty obligation is accounted for as a liability.
