The following members have been appointed to Fortum Shareholders' Nomination
Board:

  · Maija Strandberg, Director General, Prime Minister's Office, Ownership
Steering Department (Chair),
  · Mikko Mursula, Chief Investment Officer, Deputy CEO, Ilmarinen Mutual
Pension Insurance Company, and
  · Risto Murto, President and CEO, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company.

In accordance with the charter of the Fortum Shareholders' Nomination Board,
three members are appointed to Fortum Shareholders' Nomination Board each year.
The company's three largest shareholders as of the first working day of June are
each entitled to appoint one member.

In accordance with the charter of the Shareholders' Nomination Board, the Chair
of Fortum's Board of Directors Mikael Silvennoinen will serve as expert to the
Nomination Board without right to vote.

The Fortum Shareholders' Nomination Board prepares and presents to the Annual
General Meeting the proposals on the remuneration, number and members of the
Board of Directors. The Nomination Board will forward its proposals for the
Annual General Meeting to the Board of Directors.
