Funding of any unrestricted research grants is contingent upon the Company’s financial condition, and can be deferred or terminated at the Company’s discretion. Total expense under these arrangements for the years ended December 31, 2013 and 2012 was $297,000 and $63,000 respectively, and $1.8 million from Inception through December 31, 2013.
