NOTE 8 INVENTORIES

Inventories at September 30, 2020 and December 31, 2019 consisted of the following:

During the three months ended September 30, 2020 there were no inventory write downs to net realizable value. During the nine months ended September 30, 2020, the inventory of the Black Fox Mine was written down to its net realizable value. The write-down was $1.9 million, of which $1.5 million was included in production costs applicable to sales (three and nine months ended September 30, 2019 - $nil). In addition, the inventory of the Gold Bar Mine was written down to its net realizable value. The write-down was $1.2 million, of which $1.1 million was included in production costs applicable to sales (three and nine months ended September 30, 2019 - $nil).
