Income generated as the result of new mortgage servicing rights is reported as gains on sales of loans and totaled $0.3 million and $0.7 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2021, respectively, compared to $1.1 million and $1.3 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2020, respectively.

Amortization of mortgage servicing rights totaled $0.9 million and $2.1 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2021, respectively, compared to $1.7 million and $3.2 million for the three and six months ended June 30, 2020, respectively.

The following tables present the fair market value and key assumptions used in determining the fair market value of our mortgage servicing rights:
