SEGMENT AND RELATED INFORMATION SEGMENT AND RELATED INFORMATION
The Company’s business is aligned with how the chief operating decision maker ("CODM") reviews performance and makes decisions in managing the Company. On July 1, 2021, the Company completed the divestiture of Myriad RBM, Inc., and, as a result, now operates a single reporting segment. Prior to the sale, the Myriad RBM, Inc. operating segment was included in the Company’s previously reported "other" segment. The Company’s remaining operations have been aggregated into a single reporting segment, which primarily provides testing that helps assess an individual’s risk for developing disease or disease progression and guides treatment decisions across medical specialties where genetic insights can significantly improve patient health care and lower health care costs, and includes corporate services such as finance, human resources, legal and information technology. Segment information is consistent with how management reviews the business, makes investing and resource allocation decisions and assesses operating performance. The CODM evaluates segment performance based on operating income (loss).
