Asslar, May 22, 2014. The Annual General Meeting of Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology AG is currently taking place in the town hall of Wetzlar, Germany. The guests at the event are being guided through the agenda by Dr. Michael Oltmanns, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

In his speech, Manfred Bender, CEO of Pfeiffer Vacuum, is set to touch on the business development in 2013. As already disclosed, the year 2013 had been characterized by weakness in the semiconductor market and in the solar industry.

More interesting to the shareholders is likely to be the CEO’s outlook on the fiscal year 2014. Bender re-emphasized that a precise outlook remains difficult due to cyclicality. Sales are expected to increase significantly in the second half of the year. Management expects FY 2014 sales within a range of 410 – 440 million euros. This is expected to coincide with an improvement of the EBIT margin.
