Insider information: The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa proposes to
terminate Pihlajalinna's complete outsourcing agreement in Parkano and Kihniö
Today, 23 October 2024, The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa has published
a proposal for the regional board regarding the termination of the outsourcing
agreement between Pihlajalinna and Kolmostien Terveys Oy, the joint company of
Pihlajalinna and The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa. According to the
proposal, the service contract would expire at the end of the year 2025. The
regional board of the Wellbeing Services County will address the matter at its
meeting on 28 October 2024.
Pihlajalinna's ownership of Kolmostien Terveys is 96 percent. The joint company
has produced social and healthcare services in Parkano and Kihniö since 2016.
The annual turnover of Kolmostien Terveys is around EUR 30 million, and adjusted
EBITA is estimated to be around EUR 2 million per year.

The Wellbeing Services County starts preparing a tender for the production of
social and healthcare services in North Pirkanmaa, i.e. in Virrat, Ruovesi,
Parkano, Kihniö, Mänttä-Vilppula and Juupajoki.
Mäntänvuoren Terveys, which produces social and healthcare services in Mänttä
-Vilppula and Juupajoki, is a joint company of Pihlajalinna and The Wellbeing
Services County of Pirkanmaa. The service contract of Mäntänvuoren Terveys is
valid until 2031.
Pihlajalinna will provide information on the progress of the case in accordance
with the decision-making schedule of The Wellbeing Services County of Pirkanmaa.
